A Trunk Show, Pumpkin Heads, and Greeting Cards...Oh My!

I'm taking part in a trunk show in September that will feature five local artists, each with their own specialties. Mine will be miniatures and paper arts (with a few clay projects thrown in for good measure!). Here's a sampling of what I've been working on:

These pumpkin head ornaments are made of paper clay sculpted onto wooden bases. I call them the Dead Heads, but really they are Coed Wizard, Count Gourdula, and Monsieur Le Pumpkin. (Don't you love his little beret?) I hope to have time to make a few more, as well as some snowmen faces. A September show is prime holiday shopping time.

I also make original, mostly OOAK greeting cards. My work is mostly collage (either digital or physical, or a combination) using original, vintage and licensed art. I also use quotes from famous people, as well as original writings. Here are a few of the Halloween/Autumn cards I'm doing, plus the beginnings of a couple of Christmas cards. I love making these cards. Does it show?

So, these, along with my miniatures, are what's been keeping me busy. Hope your projects are going well this summer!

  1. Love your cards, they are well done. The pumpkin heads are clever. Good luck with your show.

  2. I love, love, love the pumpkins- they are awesome! I love the cards too- I think your items will fly off the table :)

Thanks for stopping by. Leave a "little" love before you go...
